Over the Hillary is a personal travel blog written and edited by me, Hillary. To help keep it running, I use affiliate links and, from time to time, accept sponsorships, gifted stays or experiences, and other forms of compensation from brands I genuinely believe in. My opinions are always my own and always honest — regardless of whether a link earns a commission or a stay was comped.
What this means across the blog, videos, and social
When content is an ad or paid brand partnership, I disclose that clearly in the post, video, or social caption in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines for creators and influencers.
Transparency on the blog
Some posts include affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you book or buy through those links at no extra cost to you. When a blog post is an ad or paid brand partnership, I disclose that in the post.
Transparency on social media and video
When an Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube post is an ad, I disclose that on the platform via hashtags #ad or a paid promotion disclosure.

You're never charged more for using my links.
Honest opinions, always
I only recommend places, stays, and products I'd genuinely send a friend to. Compensation never buys a good review — if something wasn't worth it, I'll say so (and I often do). Prices, hours, and details also change over time, so please confirm the specifics with the official source before you go.
